Under wear is about self-determination, self-possession, self control. Women can take charge of their lives through control of their bodies. They can claim ownership of their identities through the individualization of their crotches. However, they must beware of claiming ownership of something that has been created by others, thus turning over control at the most intimate level and reinforcing the objectification from which they are liberating themselves.
